A Very Expensive Cat Toy

A couple of months ago a beautiful calico cat started showing up on my porch in the mornings. Perhaps, due to my inability to walk my garbage out to the dumpster and my new found adoration of tuna fish. Anyway, she was quite lovely and extremely sweet natured; obviously one of the newly abandoned cats left behind by some seasonal renter in the area. We hit it off and I named her Chicken of the Sea, Chicka for short. We have become fast friends and have learned to live well with one another, that is until I fell in love with a hat.

I was at the store last week when I found these crazy hats with all sorts of different colored feathers and this little voice inside my head screamed out, "choose orange feathers!" And I did, I bought it on the spot, impulse buy to the sum of $62.56. A bit steep but I loved this hat! When I brought it home I wasn't the only one who the loved it either. I woke up the next morning to the feel of Chicka snuggling up to me, a strange tickle and a lovely orange feather caught in her teeth.
